I just think it would be for the good of everyone to have a reminder to save all your cherished pictures, videos and other important data to somewhere secure.
Companies should also get involved, making sure that their customers and their own data is secure and safe. Maybe even the back-up providers could offer discounts and rates based on the date to encourage sales and participation.
I think this is a good idea.
Naah! I have too many! that would take me all day.
ReplyDeleteThis is a genius idea, nobody ever remembers..
ReplyDeleteThats why I have automatic backups on all my computers.. I lost a whole qnap once, 8 terrabytes gone... No backup nothing.. Since then I backup weekly.
I plan to do this very soon actually. I just have so much crap, need a good spring clean. Ghost my hard drive, have a clean install, delete all my crap, clean out my hardware. Nothing like a bit of routine preventative maintenance. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteI need to get Time Capsule...cloud/wireless external computing for safety
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Keep up the good blogging it will eventually pay off!
ReplyDeleteI like what your thinking, I need to back up some of the music I've been making.
ReplyDeleteExternal HDDs are a better option than any backup provider
ReplyDelete1TB external hdd is my beat friend.
ReplyDeleteI really need to do this soon, thanks for the suggestion!
ReplyDeleteYou should look into RAID with dual Hard Disks. That automatically backs everything up without you even clicking anything/copying etc.
ReplyDeleteMore than a good idea, it's a great idea. You don't know how many times I've seen grown people reduced to tears because of preventable data loss. We used to keep a box of tissues ready right under the Geek Squad counter for that very eventuality.
ReplyDeleteInteresting stuff here, I'll be following from here on out!
I should really do this asap!
